Fixing Nintendo WII

To fix, or not to fix, that is the question.

My Wii is not reading its disks. I tried cleaning the lens from the outside, but no go. So my choices are:

1. Open it up and clean
2. Replace the optics
3. Buy another one
4. Fuckit

4. is always an option, but let's ignore that.

3. will cost me about $60.00 here

2. will cost me about $15.00, and an hour of my time, here if I'm lucky. Or good. And if this procedure works. And if the problem is the lens. Which it might not be.

1. will cost me $2.99 here plus some unknown part of the hour of my time that 2 would cost me. If the problem is the lens. And if the lens is cleanable.

Solution: I'm paying the $60.00.
