Khan Academy Code, Forge
For those interested in contributing to the Khan Academy, or making their own variant of the code for their own project (it’s all Open Sourced), here are some resources.
First, the Khan Academy Forge. This is the site for Khan Academy developers. People are doing all kind of things: coding, translating and just kibitzing.
If you want to mess with the code, then go to Khan Academy Code. You can either do a checkout, or you can download a (Windows only, sorry) distribution of the code. It’s written in Python and runs on Google App Engine. Since the source is all there, you can do whatever you want.
Here’s a video of the code starting up on my computer.
