Memo from Prefrontal Cortex and Staff meeting.

Yesterday I blogged extensively about my new “internal organization idea.” This morning I had my first “staff meeting” under the new rules.

Here are my notes: (9:14-9:33)
Discussion of strategies for dealing with sleep at night. Brainstormed ideas are:
A. No liquids after dinner.
B. No coffee after breakfast.
C: No snacking after dinner. (Tonight, no popcorn!)
D: Exercise late in the day, but not too late.
E; Go to bed when tired, but not exhausted. (Theory: when exhausted the goal is to just get to par.)
F.Journal before bed. Get everything down so you don't have to think about it.
F1: Visualize sleeping solidly and without interruption.
G: Make a plan to follow if you wake up. Make sure it's practical. Write it down!
H: And stick to it. Write it down. Prepare so it's easy (for example, have journalling stuff out where you can get to it.
J: Pay special attention to disruptive problems and make sure that any needs are communicated. (lonliness, novelty, sensation, etc.).
K: Print this list out and keep it handy.
L: Review before going to bed.

Next steps:
Write this up
Plan rest of day and rough plan for week.
(Write thing for Dan)
(Finish warming post for TWR)

Meta comment: it was pretty interesting. We’ll see how it goes.
